This dynamic installation is a modern, kinetic interpretation of a traditional mandala. Instead of featuring its own fixed colors, the object utilizes mirrored elements to reflect the shifting color palette of its immediate surroundings, seamlessly integrating both the space and the viewer into the artwork itself.
The conceptual approach is driven by an intricate scissor system composed of simple, individual interlocking shapes. When set in motion, this mechanism creates a fascinating interplay where the geometric arrangement rotates around a central point, forming a constantly changing yet inherently harmonious composition. The aesthetic statement of the piece relies heavily on this contrast: soft, flowing, floral shapes move in direct opposition to sharp corners and a seemingly dangerous central spike, creating a visual experience that is both mesmerizing and beautifully balanced.
