DESCRIPTION
The aim was to create a three-dimensional body from a flat surface. This required preliminary studies and experiments with various folding techniques. Despite some limitations, the skillful breaking of the rules resulted in a vase with a new spatial understanding and sculptural character that highlights dried flowers.
The base of the design is a 50 cm long and 7.5 cm wide rectangle. Special folds and cutting patterns create a three-dimensional figure that offers an optimal presentation for smaller dried flowers. The vase takes advantage of the benefits of dried flowers, breaking with traditional notions of closed vessels and emphasizing the beauty of each individual flower.
The design impresses with its understated elegance and minimalist lightness.
